Background:
Jorge Alejandre-Martinez was born and raised in Napa, CA. As a first-generation college student, he has a strong passion for learning and pursuing higher education. Education has played a significant role in his life from a young age and continues to inspire his goal of attending graduate school to conduct research and explore new ideas.
Research Interests:
Jorge’s research interests center on understanding the experiences and challenges faced by first-generation students with learning disabilities in educational settings. He is particularly interested in how access to resources such as academic support services and disability accommodations can enhance their educational outcomes. Jorge believes this work is vital for fostering more inclusive and supportive environments that empower all students to succeed, regardless of their background or learning needs.
