Background:

Pedrina was born and raised in El Salvador. In 2009, she and her family immigrated to the United States. As a native Spanish speaker, she aspires to become a Spanish educator in the community.

Research Interests: 

Pedrina is interested in researching linguistic microaggressions, linguistic profiling, the benefits of bilingual education, and the roots and evolution of Spanglish. Through her research, she aims to enhance community education regarding these key topics to promote diversity in the community.
