Biography

Tatiana is a California Central Valley native, a region facing unique socioeconomic and environmental challenges tied to its agricultural economy. Witnessing how low educational attainment and limited healthcare access impact her community inspired her to study psychology and criminal justice. Her research focuses on how systemic disadvantages shape cognition and drive higher crime rates. Specifically, Tatiana investigates the psychological mechanisms behind bystander intervention and campus victimization prevention. Additionally, she explores how emerging technologies like AI create novel opportunities for cybercrime and the exploitation of vulnerable populations.
