Biography
Valerie was born and raised in the Bay Area, where growing up in disadvantaged communities with limited access to quality healthcare shaped her passion for helping others. Her research interests include cancer and inflammatory diseases, inspired both by my community and by loved ones who have faced these conditions. These experiences motivated her to pursue higher education and research that can contribute to improving human health.
Research Interests:
Valerie's research focuses on cancer and understanding how changes in cellular components and organization may provide insight into cancer development and potentially contribute to earlier detection.
